Facing complications is a part of the learning process, and it's important to embrace them as opportunities for growth and gaining valuable insights. It's better to seek assistance when needed rather than feeling ashamed, as resolving complications is a fundamental part of becoming a skilled surgeon.Lesson 2: You must know how to overcome a complication. Surgeons need to have the knowledge and skills to effectively address and resolve complications that may arise during procedures. Being prepared to handle these challenges is vital in providing the best possible care to patients.Lesson 3: Always be humble and be a good team player. Maintaining humility and approachability is important in the medical field, as you never know when you might need help or be called upon to assist. Being a supportive and collaborative team member benefits both you and your colleagues.Lesson 4: Accountability is vital. Taking responsibility for your actions and decisions, particularly when complications or errors occur, not only demonstrates integrity but also garners the respect and trust of patients and your healthcare team.
